Fanning's Brigade, a Loyalist militia detachment of reenactors from North Carolina (above), joined our own Hugh Giles Reg't., Britton's Neck Militia (below) for camp activities and a reenactment of the Battle of Blue Savannah. That skirmish occured in August or September, 1780 when Francis Marion encountered the local Pee Dee Loyalist Militia near Ariel Crossroads.

Encampment at the Courthouse Square, beside the Marion Library. There were many displays and demonstrations this year. Francis Marion Days in Marion just gets better each year. Many thanks to the City or Marion and to the committees and individuals who do all the the hard work to make this happen every year.

Come join us next year!
